FAQ

Are mushroom-infused juices safe for children to consume?
Our mushroom-infused products are meant to be consumed by adults (18+). There is currently not enough research available to safely conclude mushroom extracts are safe to ingest by children, so we advise against it. We have however created a mushroom-FREE juice "Happy Camper" that can be enjoyed by everyone. :-)

Due to my first-hand experience with medicinal mushrooms, I was inspired to include them in our cold pressed juices & mylks. From gut-healing to boosting mental clarity to relaxation, mushrooms have so many natural benefits when consumed on a regular basis. Visit our blog to learn more about the mushrooms we use and their benefits.

A cold pressed juice is made with a special juicer that uses a hydraulic press and slow pulverizer to juice the fruits and veggies. This kind of juicer isn’t the one you’d find at your local store or in your kitchen. That juicer, the kind you’re more familiar with, is called a centrifugal juicer. Freshly squeezed juice is made with a centrifugal juicer that uses an ultra-fast-spinning blade to extract the juice from fruits and veggies. Because the metal blades of the centrifugal juicer spin so quickly, they generate heat. This heat ends up breaking down the important enzymes in the fruits and vegetables. The rapid spinning also lets air into the mix, oxidizing the juice, which only further breaks down its nutrients. This results in a freshly squeezed, pulpy juice that is refreshing and tasty, but not nearly as nutritionally potent as cold pressed juice. Cold pressed juice protects and preserves the nutrients of fruits and vegetables. Since the cold press juicer presses the produce to extract the juice, no heat is involved. That means you still get all the healthy benefits of fruits and veggies. You get 100% of the vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and nutrients when you drink cold pressed juice. This makes Juicy Lucy the ultimate healthy choice.

We use an innovative method to extend the shelf life of our juices up to 30 days, without sacrificing the taste or nutritional value! :) This method is called HPP (High Pressure Processing). Our drinks have to be consumed within 2 days after opening.

The answer is no. :) Haha but let me explain a little: Cold pressed fruit & vegetable juices are highly nutritious on their own. But we wanted to add a little something that would level it up even more! I experienced great benefits from using medicinal mushrooms and that’s why I decided to include them in our cold pressed juices & mylks!

No, we add just a small amount of functional mushroom powder. The taste of the fruits & veggies overpowers the taste of the mushroom used in the juice. We recommend shaking your drink well before consumption!

The reason for this is that we use HPP to extend the shelf life of our juices. The process of HPP does not allow glass bottles as it would make them burst due to the high pressure. Our bottles are 100% rPet (Recycled PET). PET (polyethylene terephthalate) can be easily recycled. Recycling PET also requires substantially less energy than recycling glass so that's a positive! Another advantage of using these rPet bottles is that it will be far easier for me to ship them to you. :)

HPP stands for 'High Pressure Processing'. It's an innovative method we use to extend the shelf life of our juices, without sacrificing the taste or nutritional value! :) HPP is non-thermal, but works with extremely high pressure. Germs and bacteria are completely neutralised without the use of chemicals. Numerous studies have been carried out on taste, colour retention, but mainly on the retention of nutritional values. The results are astonishing!

Although our juices support a healthy lifestyle by providing necessary vitamins and minerals, we do not propose substituting our juices for entire meals. We recommend drinking 1-2 juices per day.

Unfortunately, shipping is pretty expensive. Why is that? Because we require cool delivery to keep our drinks in good condition and perfect quality! We employ cool packs and isolation to achieve this. The latter is extremely costly. The customer bears the shipping cost, however if your order is over €50, we'll cover the shipping cost for you. :) Thank you for understanding!

One drink includes half of the daily recommended mushroom intake.
